During a speech in front of Congress, a senator from Oklahoma offered hope to the nation by reminding them of the true source of help during dark times.

Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma delivered a powerful address in front of the U.S. Congress last week, reminding his colleagues and the American people that legislative action can only go so far because the Creator is the ultimate source of salvation in any crisis.

Lankford referred to the first four verses of Psalm 121 and explicitly mentioned the Jewish People’s pilgrimages to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

“I shall raise my eyes to the mountains, from where will my help come?” asks the Psalm.”My help is from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
