Thousand of Christians from across the globe arrived in Jerusalem to march on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

The march commemorates the 70 sacrifices that were brought in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, which corresponded to the 70 nations of the world.

Modern day Christian marchers visit the Holy Land during Sukkot to show their solidarity with the Jewish state and communicate their gratitude for the freedom of religion Israel grants to its citizens and visitors, a rare beacon of coexistence in a region in which Christians are persecuted in Muslim-majority nations.
