A veteran New York political figure was ejected from an event at Rutgers University for demanding that Rashida Tlaib explain her spread of an anti-Semitic blood libel.

Former New York State assemblyman Dov Hikind, founder of Americans Against Antisemitism, a grassroots coalition that mobilizes supporters to take social action against anti-Semites, attended an event called “Muslims 4 Peace” at New Jersey’s Rutgers University.

One of the speakers at the event was Rashida Tlaib, a congresswoman who falsely accused Israeli Jews of murdering a seven-year-old Arab boy who tragically drowned due to out of control flooding last month.

Tlaib spread the lie on Twitter to her close to 900,000 followers, eventually deleting it without ever issuing an apology. In reality, there was not one iota of truth to the tale she disseminated, which bore all the hallmarks of a classic anti-Semitic blood libel.

“They will never silence us!” responded Hikind after being removed from the event at Rutgers for demanding Tlaib explain herself.
