Ari Spitz was fighting alongside his unit in Gaza when a massive explosion struck. Wounded, Ari was airlifted to Soroka Hospital, where he received thirty blood transfusions as doctors fought tirelessly to save his life.
Ari lost both legs and his right hand after months of battling in the ICU. Despite these severe injuries, Ari has become a symbol of Jewish resilience and strength.
The groom, wounded in the same blast as Ari, also studied together in the same yeshiva. Their reunion at the wedding marked a full-circle moment for two heroes who survived the toughest circumstances.
