Famous human rights activist, Israeli politician and former refusenik Natan Sharansky discusses the importance of remembering the horrific events that happened on that day.

This week marks 80 years since the Babi Yar massacre, where approximately 33,771 Jews were murdered by Nazis on Sept. 29-30, 1941.

Natan Sharansky, former head of the Jewish Agency, was born in Ukraine when it was under Soviet rule. He stresses the importance of remembering the massacre.

He also discusses the significance of Ukraine’s recently passed law that bans anti-Semitism.
