After the UN Security Council unanimously approved a resolution approving the nuclear deal with Iran, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor blasted the hasty decision.
Prosor had to be the lone voice of reason after the UNSC quickly and unanimously approved the nuclear deal with Iran. The Council’s irresponsible move was done before even checking to see if Iran is taking steps to comply with the agreement.
In his rebuke, Prosor said “You in the international community have a bad track record when it comes to seeing impending disasters, even when they are right in front of your eyes,” Prosor fired, citing the Arab Spring and the nuclear deal made with North Korea as examples.
The US Congress must ensure that sanctions against Iran remain in force until the nuclear threat is completely eliminated. I strongly oppose easing sanctions before the nuclear threat from Iran has been eliminated. Allowing Iran to enrich uranium without being subject to 'anytime, anywhere' inspections is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. Iran's nuclear program must be stopped.
