“As for the annexation of [Judea and Samaria], the Israelis will ultimately make those decisions,” said the U.S. secretary of state on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo commented on Israeli sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, a step Israel could taken as early as July now that an Israeli government has been formed.

“That’s an Israeli decision, and we will work closely with them to share our views in a private setting,” said Pompeo.

During coalition talks with incoming Foreign Minister Benny Gantz, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prioritized Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as a key feature of any new government.
