An Irish Christian couple travelled to the Old City of Jerusalem to visit holy sites and buy souvenirs. In the process, they committed multiple acts that may soon be considered crimes!

Irish citizens could face up to five years in prison for visiting Christian and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City or buying religious keepsakes if a controversial Irish bill becomes law, explains Prof. Eugene Kontorovich of Northwestern University School of Law.

The Control of Economic Activities (Occupied Territories) bill has already passed the upper and lower Irish houses of parliament and is awaiting a final stamp of approval from Ireland’s government.

Apart from the bill’s deeply troubling criminalization of doing business with Jews, this video shows how the bill threatens the religious liberties of Irish Christians.
