“If we ever have military power, will we let them keep Haifa? We’ll take it,” said former Jordanian Prime Minister Al-Majali.
Former Jordanian Prime Minister Abdelsalam Al-Majali defended the Israeli-Jordanian peace treaty as serving Jordan’s essential needs – for the time being.
On the question of the Palestinians’ Right of Return, he said that “the Arabs do not have any power. If we ever have military power, will we let them [Israel] keep Haifa? We’ll take it. If tomorrow we become stronger and can take Haifa by force, will we really decline just because we have an agreement with them?”
How trustworthy are Israel’s peace partners? Does their word have any value?
