How can the anointment of Aaron the High Priest, recounted in this week’s Torah reading, inspire us?
In this week’s Torah portion, Ki Tisa, God instructs Moses to tell the Jewish people, “This sacred oil of anointment shall be for Me, forever.”
The commentators teach that “forever” is to be taken quite literally.
Why wasn’t this special anointing oil consumed with use? Is there a message here?
