Elliot Mckay, a Jewish student in the UK, was in for a big shock as a university freshman, meeting people who wanted to destroy the beautiful country he had known and loved.

Elliot Mckay’s first encounter at university was one of hatred for the State of Israel. He was confused by all the “information” thrown at him by anti-Zionist activists, wondering if he had it wrong.

He went on a Birthright trip, where his doubts were erased and where he got answers to his questions while witnessing the profound challenges Israel faces every single day.

Now he’s an Emerson fellow for StandWithUs, where he fights against the distortion of truth, countering misinformation with facts which, he says, will not only help Israel but also bring the possibility of peace even closer.

Watch, learn about his experiences and be inspired!
