Shaun Tomson, listed as one of the top 100 surfers of the century and 1977 World Surfing Champion, is volunteering in Israel to teach and alleviate some of the suffering of Israeli children forced to leave their homes.

Currently based in Bat Yam, Shaun helps children focus and understand the emotions they’re feeling. He applies the mindset needed for surfing to teach the children self-esteem.

He explains the feeling of euphoria is contagious and success in the water can drastically improve life, despite the hardships many evacuated families are facing.
