Standing side by side with the president at the White House on Thursday, Rabbi Goldstein described the US president as a “mensch par excellence.”

Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, who was wounded in an anti-Semitic shooting attack on Saturday at the Chabad of Poway synagogue in California, thanked President Donald Trump for helping him begin the healing process.

Displaying a fighting spirit and determination to “fight darkness with light,” the rabbi also called for a moment of silence in public schools.
