Yoga has become a vital tool for Israelis dealing with PTSD after the October 7th attacks. Ohad Mayir, a former soldier with PTSD, turned to yoga after his trauma was re-triggered by the violence.

Realizing his calling, he left his security job to focus on teaching yoga to soldiers and veterans. As part of Brothers in Yoga, a nonprofit helping soldiers with PTSD, Ohad and others use yoga to heal the body, mind, and soul.

The organization has grown in response to the growing crisis of untreated PTSD among veterans. Founder Neta Margal emphasizes yoga’s transformative power, offering a path to recovery in a time of national trauma.
