Israeli and Emirati youth are showing what a true “warm peace” looks like through a peer-to-peer initiative.
Although there have been peace deals between Israel and two other Muslim countries, the accords reached between the Jewish state and the United Arab Emirates are proving to be unique in the fact that they have led to sincere dialogue and genuine friendships.
After the peace agreement was announced, Israel-is, a Tel Aviv-based NGO dedicated to improving Israel’s image abroad, initiated a direct person-to-person dialogue between young Israelis and Emiratis who were curious and excited to meet one another.
