The Torah portion of “Tazria” (Leviticus 12:1-13:59) teaches us about a mysterious skin disease known as “tza’arat” – a form of leprosy with a spiritual component.

We are told that tza’arat would befall a person who committed certain sins, primary among them, the sin of slander and forbidden speech. The High Priest would be the one to diagnose and treat the “condition.”

But hold on, was the spiritual leader also a doctor? Isn’t skin disease a medical condition that requires a “real” doctor?

Rabbi Enkin takes a fascinating look at medicine and medical ethics from the Torah perspective. Quite often, both doctors – and rabbis – are needed to navigate through complex medical issues.

You’ll learn about vaccines, organ donations, treating family members, and much more!
