Israeli fans hope Mariah Carey will make it happen and that the rumors of an August performance here are true.
Is internationally acclaimed pop diva Mariah Carey coming to perform in Israel?
According to reports circulating in Israeli media, the American entertainer will sing her greatest hits to some 10,000 fans in Rishon LeZion in August.
A performance in Israel is not yet listed on her official website, but an official announcement is expected Wednesday morning. Tickets should go on sale later on in the day.
Carey recently visited Israel in June with her boyfriend, entrepreneur James Packer, a staunch supporter of Israel. “I waited many years to come here, and I am very moved,” IDF Radio quoted her as saying during her visit.
They met with the Netanyahus during their trip. Carey reportedly told Sara Netanyahu of her visit to the Kotel (Western Wall), where the singer reminded her daughter to “remember the day you visited this very important place.”
