Francesca Albanese

On Friday, April 4, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is set to quietly renew the three-year mandate of Francesca Albanese. the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the “Occupied Palestinian Territories.” Albanese is an apologist for Hamas with a track record of gross antisemitic rhetoric and extreme bias against Israel that render her unfit for any UN role.

This must not stand.

Albanese has repeatedly violated the UN’s Code of Conduct, using her platform not to promote human rights, but to spread hatred. In public posts. She has accused America of being “subjugated by the Jewish lobby” — language condemned by the U.S. Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism.

She has compared Israel to the Nazis, equated Hamas with Holocaust resistance fighters, and downplayed the October 7th massacre, the deadliest antisemitic attack since the Holocaust. France called her antisemitism and distortion of the events of the Holocaaust “scandalous,” and Germany said her words were “appalling.”

Even after 1,200 Israelis were butchered by Hamas, Albanese dismissed their murders as “resistance.” She cast doubt on the rape and torture of women and children — crimes documented and condemned globally.

The United States, France, Germany, and pro-Israel organizations around the world have spoken clearly: Albanese’s rhetoric is antisemitic, disgraceful, and a betrayal of the UN’s own values. Allowing her to remain in her position would validate hatred and embolden those who seek Israel’s destruction.

Now is the time to act.

Tell UN ambassadors: Do not renew Francesca Albanese’s mandate. Antisemitism has no place at the United Nations.

Subject: Oppose the Renewal of Francesca Albanese’s Mandate

Dear Ambassador,
I urge you to oppose the reappointment of Francesca Albanese as UN Special Rapporteur. Her record of antisemitic statements, defense of terrorism, and clear violation of the UN’s Code of Conduct make her unfit for this role. The credibility of the UN depends on rejecting hate, not rewarding it.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
