An American organization promoting a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has called on PA head Abbas to dismiss his anti-Semitic ambassador to Chile.

Left-wing organization Americans for Peace Now (APN) is urging Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas to sack his ambassador in Chile, whose vicious anti-Semitism expressed at a peace conference in May was exposed this week.

APN released a statement Wednesday “strongly” condemning the “vile anti-Semitic statements made by Imad Nabil Jada’a, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s ambassador to Chile, in which he denied the existence of a Jewish people, accused the Zionist movement of striving to ‘dominate life in the entire planet’ and hailed the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion as recommended reading.”

APN called on Abbas to repudiate the statements made by his ambassador, to dismiss him and to “remind Palestinian officials of the terrible impact of hate-speech on the cause of peace.”

APN President and CEO Debra DeLee said that “these abhorrent statements, anti-Semitic canards of the crudest kind, are an outrage. Such hateful statements foment hatred, they legitimize anti-Semitic lies and they provoke hatred and anger among an Israeli public that is deeply skeptical about the viability of peace with the Palestinians and the credibility of the Palestinian leadership as a partner for peace.”

“These statements were made almost two months ago and have just now surfaced, but that doesn’t make them any less outrageous,” she stressed. “Such statements are a terrible disservice to the cause of peace, to the Palestinian people and to its struggle for independence and freedom. Ambassador Jada’a’s comments must be immediately and publicly repudiated. Chairman Abbas is strongly advised to remove this envoy from his position.”

The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), which exposed Jada’a’s speech, said his comments combined “traditional European anti-Semitism with Israel bashing, a dangerous form of contemporary anti-Semitism that also forms the ideological basis for Radical Political Islamist incitement to genocide” against Jews.

“Here there can be no excuse, as some still weakly contend, of separating criticism of Israel with blatant anti-Semitism,” the organization charged.

Any basis for peace would require putting an end to Palestinian incitement, the watchdog said. “A peaceful resolution to the conflict must include concrete steps to eradicate official PA anti-Semitism and a real recognition of the ‘Other.’ One hopes that responsible leaders will take action and condemn this blatant expression of hate.”

We demand that all funding of the PA be stopped immediately. The brutal murder of Israelis committed by Palestinian terrorists throughout Israel is the latest result of ongoing PA incitement against Israeli citizens. Funding the PA means funding terror.
