Anti-Israel boycott extremists revealed their true and hateful nature when they violently tore down ads for an exhibit on Israel in Paris.

Activists for the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement on Sunday vandalized and tore down signs inviting passengers on the Paris subway to the “Open a Door to Israel” exhibit, currently on display at the Louvre Museum.

The exhibit, which is a joint project of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presents Israel’s innovation and hi-tech, as well as its rich history and culture.

The exhibit was a great success in Rome, Warsaw and Paris.

“The BDS extremists revealed their true and hateful nature, using the same approach they take in university campuses, concert halls and business meetings, of violently silencing pro-Israel speakers, and threatening and bullying decision-makers and the general public,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.

“I will continue to ensure that the truth about Israel is heard, through exhibits such as ‘Open a Door to Israel’ and others,” Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan vowed after the incident. “At the same time, I will make sure that the true face of the BDS extremists is exposed and that they pay a price for their actions.”

Israel foreign ministry lodged a complaint with the French police and ensured that the advertisements were restored.

The BDS movement promotes financial, academic and cultural boycotts against Israel, ostensibly as a nonviolent struggle against the so-called “Israeli occupation.”

Its critics say its activities are a modern form of anti-Semitism, and its true objective is to destroy the State of Israel.
