Arab Israeli pro-Israel activist Yoseph Haddad and his family was attacked as they boarded a plane from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Haddad announced on Saturday via social media.
“My family and I were attacked while boarding a plane from Dubai to Israel by a number of people from my community who identified me and attacked me only because of who I am, my opinions and activities on behalf of the state of Israel,” he wrote.
Haddad said the attacks were both verbal and physical and led to his mother being injured in her hand.
He thanked authorities in Dubai for addressing the issue, in addition to personally thanking “Israeli ambassador to the Emirates Amir Hayek, the consuls Liron Zaslansky and Deny Gadot, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hait and my dear friend Eido Daniel for the interest and follow-up of the late night hours from afar.”
He said they were already back in Israel, “and we are free.”
“I want to tell all the attackers and the rest of the people who are thinking of stopping me through violence and intimidation – against you, I continue with all my strength, you will not stop me and you are only causing me to continue and to get stronger.”
“And to my dear family – thank you for being strong and enduring and making sacrifices for my way. I love you,” he concluded.
