“His delivery here is so classically Jewish that you almost wanna let it slide,” tweeted Ilhan Omar’s Deputy Communications Director, Isaiah Baehr-Breen, who is Jewish.

American celebrity Kanye West has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories and accused unnamed Jewish individuals of cheating him in a variety of sources, from the Piers Morgan program to popular online interview shows Drink Champs and the Lex Fridman podcast.
West began in mid-October with a tweet cryptically threatening to go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” after which he shared a screenshot of a thread with proucer Sean “Diddy” Combs captioned “Jesus is Jew” in which the Chicago native claimed the media is controlled by Jews, a well worn libel reminiscent of Nazi propaganda.
West doubled down on the conspiracies on Drink Champs, which removed the episode from the internet, and Lex Fridman’s podcast, on which he claimed the phrase “Jewish media” was “redundant” and used what Fridman called “a dog whistle” when he claimed that 90% of Black people in entertainment “are in some way tied to Jewish businesspeople.”
“When they hear Jewish media, that hate starts being directed to the Jewish people,” Fridman responded, calling West’s comments on Morgan’s show “a sh***y apology.”
Days later, West appeared in a video posted on line, rambling again about Jewish control of corporate America and the media.
In response, West earned the scorn of prominent Black voices like NBA legend Kareem Abdul Jabar and movie mogul Tyler Perry, and lost endorsement deals with Adidas and Balenciaga reportedly worth billions.
‘Classically Jewish Delivery’?
Despite the Jewish community’s near universal condemnation of West’s hate-filled rhetoric, a key staff member of American politician Ilhan Omar appeared to make light of West’s October 30 rant.

“His delivery here is so classically Jewish that you almost wanna let it slide,” tweeted Ilhan Omar’s Deputy Communications Director, Isaiah Baehr-Breen, who is Jewish. Baehr-Breen made the statement when he retweeted the video of West railing about a “Jewish doctor.”
Baehr-Breen’s commentary was met with scorn by other Twitter users, with one responding, “Imagine saying this about any other minority. ‘This white racist hates black people, but the way he talks about them is so “black.”‘”
Omar herself is no stranger to accusations of Jew-hatred.
Omar’s history of antisemitic rhetoric includes tweeting, “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”
In 2018, she claimed that U.S. support for Israel was “all about the Benjamins,” alluding to the image of Benjamin Franklin on $100 bills. She has also insinuated that her Jewish Democratic colleagues on Capitol Hill have dual loyalties and falsely accused Israel of a number of heinous crimes.
Based on her record, Omar earned the “Antisemite of the Year” award in 2019 from the StopAntisemism.org NGO.
“The NGO announced that Omar would be awarded the title of biggest antisemite of the year…including a video listing her achievements in the field of Jew-hatred, accompanied sarcastically by congratulatory music and confetti,” reported the Jerusalem Post at the time.
