A few years after Trayon White famously accused the Rothschilds of controlling the weather, the D.C. councilmember posted a video attending an event where notorious antisemite Louis Farrakhan was honoured.

In 2018, a Washington, D.C. councilmember named Trayon White made the news after blaming snowy weather on the Rothschilds, a wealthy Jewish family around whom a universe of antisemitic conspiracies have been dreamt up.
White posted a video on Facebook saying, “Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation. And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
The gist of most Rothschilds conspiracies is that the family, and other Jews, secretly manipulate the world for profit and power.
While White later apologized, reports surfaced a month later that he ducked out early from a staff tour of the D.C. Holocaust Museum, waiting outside the facility while colleagues finished the tour.
White is now back in the news due to a video he posted on Instagram of a private ceremony at which antisemitic hate-preacher Louis Farrakhan was honored.
Farrakhan is the leader of the Nation of Islam, whose leadership traffics in Jew-hatred and classic antisemitic tropes, in addition to promoting fringe ideologies such as Scientology.
“Today we commemorated the relationship of the Honorable Marion Barry and the Honorable Louis Farrakhan in Washington, D.C. that transformed the lives of many,” intoned White, captioning the video.
The six-minute clip posted by White shows Farrakhan speaking to other attendees at the Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Farrakhan’s multi-decade history of antisemitism includes remarks such as “Satanic Jews have infected the whole world with poison and deceit” and outright lies, including his demonstrably false claim that “there were many Israelis and Zionist Jews in key roles in the 9/11 attacks.”
In reality, the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated by Islamic terrorists associated with the Al-Qaeda group.
Farrakhan also famously described the genocidal monster Adolf Hitler as a “very great man.” Remarkably, the Nation of Islam leader remains a popular figure for celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and even Madonna.
In April 2018, White made a $500 donation from his constituent services account to the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day weekend event, at which Farrakhan declared, “Powerful Jews are my enemy.”
Five years earlier, White said he was “honored to share a birthday with a guy I admire [Farrakhan] … I must respect his intelligence, will, & boldness.”
