Completely disregarding the nuclear deal and UN resolutions, Iran continues to develop its military capability.

Days after the White House backed away from confronting Iran over its weapons development program, the Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled a new underground missile depot on Tuesday.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency showed photos and a clip of a second massive underground missile facility.

The missiles on display are the newly-developed Emad long-range precision projectiles, which were tested in October and November, in violation of UN resolutions.

Categorized as a new generation of surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, Emad is the first Iranian long-range missile that can be guided and controlled until it hits the target with accuracy.

This revelation comes three months after a similar underground missile silo was exposed in Iranian media.

IRGC Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said what was shown in October was footage from the “oldest” IRGC warehouse for stockpiling missiles.

These facilities are “only one of the numerous bases scattered across the country,” the Iranian general said.

Last Tuesday, he announced the IRGC’s operational units have been supplied with large numbers of the Emad missiles.

Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including the air defense systems that use cutting edge technologies.

Tehran has repeatedly claimed that its military might is “defensive in nature” and poses no threat to other countries. However, the United States has said the Emad is capable of carrying a nuclear payload and violates a 2010 UN Security Council resolution.

The same Tehran has repeatedly vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the map with its weapons arsenal.
