In a departure from its trademark method of execution by beheading, ISIS burned to death its latest victim, shocking the world with its barbarity.

In its latest atrocious act of barbarism, the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization burned Jordanian pilot Lt. Moaz al-Kasaesbeh to death.

Al-Kasaesbeh, 26, who hails from a prominent family in Jordan, was captured by ISIS in late December after his jet, flying as part of the US-led international coalition against the terror organization, experienced technical difficulty. Taken captive immediately, he was tortured, humiliated and featured in ISIS’s Dabiq magazine.

On Tuesday he was placed in a cage surrounded by masked ISIS terrorists, doused with a liquid chemical and set on fire. The entire horror was meticulously recorded and disseminated throughout social media, a method of propaganda for which ISIS is notorious.

Revenge at Dawn

Jordan had previously threatened to kill all ISIS prisoners in the country. Early Wednesday morning, in response to the murder of al-Kasaesbeh, Jordan executed two terrorists.

Jordan hanged Sajida al-Rishawi, a woman on death row for her involvement in a suicide attack that killed 60 people and whose release ISIS had repeatedly demanded. The second executed terrorist, Ziyad Karboli, was a senior al-Qaeda prisoner sentenced to death for plotting attacks against the Hashemite kingdom in the past decade.

After the executions, Jordan announced that this was not their last act of reprisal, vowing to deliver a “strong, earth-shaking and decisive” blow to ISIS, causing it as much pain as the Islamic terror organization had inflicted upon the Jordanians.

“The revenge will be as big as the calamity that has hit Jordan,” Jordanian army spokesman Colonel Mamdouh stated.

King Abdullah of Jordan, who was forced to cut short his visit to the US, decried the act of “cowardly terror” carried out by a deviant group that has no connection to “our religion,” Islam.

“It is the duty of all the sons and daughters of Jordan to stand together and show the true mettle of the Jordanian people,” he said.

Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — all Arab countries — are part of the US-led international coalition fighting ISIS.

“It’s just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization,” said US President Barack Obama, who met Tuesday evening with Jordan’s King Abdullah in the Oval Office, where he offered his condolences. “And I think it will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of the global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated.”
