“Khudari transferred large sums of money to Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip through his money exchange company,” said an Israeli statement.

With the IDF reporting that more than 600 rockets had been fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel from Friday night through Sunday afternoon, the Israeli military made good on its vow to upgrade the Israeli counter-strikes on Gaza by targeting not only ammunition depots, tunnels, and other sites of terror activity, but also the terrorists themselves.

Late Sunday afternoon, the IDF spokesman’s office issued a statement announcing that the military had attacked terrorists located in the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Specifically, IDF chief spokesman Ronen Manelis tweeted that the IDF killed a man responsible for transferring funds from Iran to terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip. He was identified as 34-year old Hamed Ahmed al-Khudari.

“Khudari transferred large sums of money to Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip through his money exchange company and with the help of foreign money changers and merchants who were all aware of the designation of the company as a terrorist organization,” said an Israel statement.

“Khudari’s financial activity, which served as Iran’s spearhead in the Gaza Strip, has contributed significantly to the promotion of terrorist activity and the military buildup of terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip,” it added.

The Palestinian Ma’an news agency reported that an Israeli aircraft had fired on a Hamas field commander on Sunday afternoon, targeting his car near the Sidra section of central Gaza City.

The news agency also cited local sources as saying that two Palestinians were injured when an Israeli warplane targeted them and fired a missile as they rode on a motorcycle. The Israeli aircraft fired a missile at the two while they were riding through Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip, Ma’an reported.

The IDF announced late Sunday afternoon that it attacked a building of the internal security branch of Hamas.
