Israel will overcome the boycott movement as it has emerged victorious from the wave of Palestinian terror attacks, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon promised.
Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon stated his ministry will compensate any company or business that is harmed by the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement.
Kahlon stated during a tour of Gush Etzion on Monday that Israel has allocated some 100 million shekels to fight the boycotts, Israel Radio reported.
“We will not allow the boycott to win. Just as Judea and Samaria residents do not allow terror to be victorious, we will not allow the BDS movement to be victorious,” Kahlon declared.
The BDS movement promotes financial, academic and cultural boycotts against Israel, ostensibly as a nonviolent struggle against the so-called “Israeli occupation.”
Critics say its activities are a modern form of anti-Semitism, and its true objective is to destroy the State of Israel.
