The New York police are searching for three teenage girls responsible for a string of attacks on Jewish children in Brooklyn over a three-day period.

All the victims were wearing clothing that made them identifiably Jewish, and police are treating the attacks as a hate crime.

The Anti-Defamation League has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

According to local reports, the attacks began on Friday when the trio approached a 12-year-old boy walking with his three-year-old brother. One of the suspects slapped the toddler in the face and then the group ran off.

On Sunday, in the same neighborhood, three female suspects approached an 18-year-old girl walking with a seven-year-old girl. The group grabbed the teenager’s jacket, pulling her to the ground, before running off. The seven-year old was not hurt.

Minutes later, the police say, the trio attacked a nine-year-old boy, repeatedly slapping him on the head.

Police added that the suspects didn’t say anything during the attacks.

All of the victims declined medical attention.

The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

“We are outraged by this string of attacks targeting Jewish children and youth,” said Scott Richman, the ADL’s New York/New Jersey regional director, in a statement posted on social media. “Two of the three incidents occurred on the first night of Chanukah, which should be a time of celebration, not fear and trauma for our young people.”

Anyone with information about the attacks is asked to contact the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force.
