Israeli prime minister says discussions centered on three main areas, all which have to do with energy: gas, electricity, and fire.

The relationship that exists among the three countries today was 'inconceivable' just 20 years ago, says Israeli ambassador.

'The exercise symbolizes an important milestone in reinforcing strategic and international cooperation between the State of Israel and Greece,' stated the IDF.

Israel, Cyprus, and Greece have signed a cooperation agreement in 2016 to build a wide-ranging system of emergency cooperation between the countries, including firefighting and handling of natural disasters.

The 2,000-megawatt cable appears to have supplanted the joint EastMed gas pipeline.

The trilateral summit in Nicosia with Israel, Greece and Cyprus focused on building people-to-people bridges and helping to secure the countries’ prosperity.
