On Monday, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Federal Judge Roy Altman took to the streets to help clean red paint and graffiti off the windows of Holy Bagels, a downtown kosher bagel shop.
The shop had been vandalized over the weekend by an antisemitic vandal. Owner Josh Nodel, who also operates a second bagel shop in Miami Beach, reported that both locations have been vandalized four times since the start of October 7th.
“We’ve been targeted because of hate because they know we are Jewish, we are supporters of Israel,” Nodel explained to reporters. The antisemitic and genocidal sentiments behind these messages mirror countless similar attacks occurring nationwide.
