Israeli social media commentator Hananya Naftali slammed recent media reports of “over 40,000” dead in Gaza that falsely imply Israel is indiscriminately targeting civilians.
“Israel has actually achieved a one to one combatant to civilian ratio, the lowest ever reported in urban warfare,” Naftali countered.
For Hamas, on the other hand, civilian casualties are not only a “byproduct” of war, but are an integral part of Hamas’ war strategy, Naftali added, noting that Hamas “exaggerates the numbers” of civilian deaths while “count[ing] terrorists as civilians and even includ[ing] those they have killed themselves” in the count.
