“The dear residents of Sderot and the Gaza perimeter deserve to raise their children in peace and quiet,” the Sderot mayor said after a rocket scored a direct hit on a school.
Sirens blared in Sderot Thursday evening after terrorists in Gaza fired a rocket directly at a building in the southern Israeli city Thursday evening.
The building hosts a Chabad synagogue and school.
“Thankfully, no students were hit by the blast,” the IDF said.
“The dear residents of Sderot and the Gaza perimeter deserve to raise their children in peace and quiet, as are all residents of the country,” Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi said, vowing to continue to develop the city and increase the population.
