Rabbi Zvi Kogan’s funeral drew thousands to Kfar Chabad, Israel, on Monday evening, just a day after the Chabad emissary was tragically found murdered in Al-Ain, UAE.
A key figure in Abu Dhabi’s Chabad branch and operator of Dubai’s kosher supermarket, Kogan’s work symbolized Chabad’s global reach, with branches in scores of countries.
Last seen alive on November 21 in Dubai, his body was discovered three days later near the Omani border by Emirati intelligence services, and security members later that day arrested three Uzbek nationals responsible for the heinous crime.
