With Iran and its terror proxies threatening the region and beyond, will Israel sign an official defense treaty with the U.S. to challenge the Islamic Republic?
According to recent media reports, the U.S. and Israel are weighing an official defense pact similar to NATO, the military alliance that joined 29 North American and European countries decades ago. With Iran raising the specter of nuclear weapons and threatening vessels at sea, this pact may be just the agreement Israel and the U.S. need to vanquish Iran once and for all.
Netanyahu recently declared, “Iran has been threatening Israel’s destruction. They should remember that [Israel’s] planes can reach anywhere in the Middle East, including Iran and surely Syria.”
Will Israel go it alone if it must take on Iran, or will the U.S. be there at its side?
