Israel Raises Breast Cancer Awareness

The two tallest buildings in Israel – the University of Haifa’s tower (pictured) and the Neve Nof tower in Bat Yam – were lit up with pink lights to remind the public of breast cancer awareness month. This was the first time that two buildings in Israel were lit up, after 13 years of one building being lit up for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Oren Revah, CEO of the Estee Lauder group in Israel which organized the event together with the Israel Cancer Association explained: “The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better” and the hope is that the lighting up of the buildings in pink will remind women to go for regular clinical breast exams and/or mammograms.
