Israel has refused to cooperate with UN investigations because of the outcome of previous ones, which were flawed, biased against Israel and lacked the substance of a truthful investigation.

The United Nations (UN) warned Israel on Monday that its continued refusal to allow UN human rights investigators to asses alleged violations of international law against Palestinians by Israel in Judea, Samaria and Gaza could have repercussions.

“I very much regret the refusal by some countries to permit my staff to have access in order to monitor and report on events,” UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, of Jordan, said. He spoke in Geneva at the opening session of the 32nd session of the UN Human Rights Council.

He did not mention Israel by name, but Jerusalem has consistently denied UN staff access to Palestinian areas as part of their work in investigating alleged Israeli actions against Palestinians.

The UNHRC is infamously biased against Israel, with nearly half of its resolutions focused solely on Israel while completely ignoring war, strife and atrocities committed around the globe.

Israeli leaders and officials have cited the UNHRC for its “obsessive hostility” toward Israel and its “one-sided mandate.”
