The growth trend in the export of Israeli services is expected to continue in 2022, and as a result, exports in 2022 will amount to about $165 billion, breaking the record set in 2021, when exports recorded a historic jump of 25% and stood at $143 billion, according to estimates by the Foreign Trade Administration (FTA).
Highlights of Israel’s export growth in 2021 included an increase in commodity exports in most sectors after years of relative stagnation. For the first time, the volume of exports of services exceeded the volume of exports of goods, and total exports recorded a 25% increase over 2020 and reached $143 billion.
This week, after three years and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a conference of the economic attachés of the Foreign Trade Administration is being held in Israel, as part of which officials from 55 representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Industry in the world met with Israeli companies and exporters and examined ways to promote exports.
During Barbivai’s meeting with the attachés, they presented their vision for 2022-2023. At the end of the meeting, a ceremony was held to award letters of appointment to the 18 new attachés who will go on their state mission in the coming weeks.
