Running from November 25 to December 3, these campaigns aim to tarnish the reputation of companies like Hewlett Packard for their ties to Israel while stoking anti-Israel sentiment globally.
This organized effort is not just a boycott—it’s a campaign of intimidation. Protests are planned in cities worldwide, with tactics including blocking streets, targeting holiday shoppers, and promoting misinformation about Israel’s security practices.
Under the guise of “solidarity with Palestinians,” these actions often devolve into harassment and even incitement against Jewish communities
These movements ignore the truth: Israel’s security measures, including partnerships with companies like HP, are essential for protecting its citizens against terrorism.
Misrepresenting these efforts as “apartheid” or “colonial violence” is not only a distortion of reality but also a dangerous fueling of antisemitism.
We must act now to counter this escalating hostility.
Jewish communities worldwide are at risk of facing increased threats and intimidation during these protests.

These hostile actions pose a direct threat to our communities, especially the Jewish communities in the U.S. and around the world.

As leaders of cities that are home to America’s largest Jewish communities, we ask that you provide heightened police protection to our communities and investigate the groups and organizers of these threatening campaigns – including their ties to domestic and international terrorism and terrorist funding.
We understand that these protests have created a great burden on police departments, and we thank you for your service to our country so that America can continue to be “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
