ISIS’ influence continues to spread, infecting Europe with ever greater intensity. Where will their next follower attack?

Omar El-Hussein, the 22-year-old Muslim who shot and killed two people and wounded several others in separate attacks in Copenhagen on Saturday pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization, CNN reports.

El-Hussein, in a post on his Facebook page, swore fidelity to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi just before the weekend shooting spree.

In the post, he pledges “allegiance to Abu Bakr in full obedience in the good and bad things,” vowing not to “dispute with him unless it is an outrageous disbelief.”

The terrorist was reportedly already on the the authorities’ radar and was “well-known by the police for several criminal incidents,” including weapons violations and violence. Police also said he was “known in connection to gangs,” CNN reports.

CNN quotes Jens Madsen, chief of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, who added that authorities are “operating under a theory” that the gunman may have been inspired by the January terror attacks in France.

Murderous Terrorists Follow ISIS’ Orders

Amedy Coulibaly, 32, the Muslim terrorist who murdered four Jews at the Hyper Cacher market in Paris last month also pledged allegiance to ISIS.

The two terrorists were in essence following orders issued by ISIS. In late September, ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani called on Muslims in the US and Europe to attack members of the military:

“Do not ask for anyone’s advice and do not seek anyone’s verdict. Kill the disbeliever whether he is civilian or military, for they have the same ruling. Both of them are disbelievers. Both of them are considered to be waging war.”

El-Hussein, whose Palestinian parents immigrated to Denmark, shot dead a filmmaker in Copenhagen on Saturday before killing Dan Uzan, a Jewish man who volunteered as a guard at the city’s main synagogue. El-Hussein was subsequently killed by Danish police after a short manhunt.

Danish security forces arrested another two men in connection with the attack. Charges have been filed against two, who are accused of helping to hide the gunman. The lawyer for the accused, Michael Eriksen, said the men, 19 and 22, were charged with two counts of accessory to murder and five counts of accessory to attempted murder.
