Gadot has been using her influence over her 108 million social media followers to always bravely stand for her people and her country.
As Beverly Hills prepared for a night of glitz and glamour at the Golden Globe Awards, Israeli actress Gal Gadot took a moment to remind the world that behind Hollywood’s fantasy real heroes were fighting for their lives in Gaza.
Hours before Sunday’s ceremony, Gadot shared a heart-wrenching Instagram post about 19-year-old hostage Liri Albag, who was recently seen alive in a Hamas propaganda video.
Gal Gadot leaves a touching message on her Instagram regarding the 19 year old hostage Liri Albag who has recently been shown in Hamas’ sick and twisted propaganda video.
Let her go.

“This is Liri, only 19 years old. She was abducted by Hamas on October 7th. Yesterday, we received a sign of life from Liri – a sign that sharpened the pain that Liri, along with 99 other hostages, has been held captive in Hamas tunnels for over 450 days,” wrote Gadot.
“On a personal level, while I prepare for a festive and joyous evening, my heart is heavy, and my soul aches knowing the hostages are still there. Every day that passes without an agreement puts their lives in greater danger,” she continued.
“I can’t stop thinking about the families waiting for them, counting the hours, the minutes, clinging to hope. They must come home. We all deserve to see them return, alive. Bring them home now.”
Albag was serving as a lookout at the Nahal Oz military base when Hamas terrorists stormed the facility on October 7, 2023. Of her fellow lookouts, fifteen were murdered and seven were taken captive.
While respecting the Albag family’s wishes to not reveal the video’s contents, Gadot’s message cut deeply through the awards season pageantry.
Many in Hollywood have struggled to navigate how to talk about their support for Israel, but not Gadot, who has been using her influence over her 108 million social media followers to always bravely stands for her people and her country.
