Terrorists from Gaza continued their renewed aggression by firing yet another rocket at Israeli civilians in the south. There were no casualties or property damage.

Israel’s residents were once again targeted by Palestinian terrorists from Gaza, who fired a rocket at their towns early Monday morning. The rocket exploded in an open space, causing no injuries or damage.

Sirens were not set off in wake of the rocket fire. The Israeli air Force (IAF) has yet to respond to the aggression.

This latest attack comes a day after Gaza terrorists fired two rockets at Israel. One was intercepted by the Iron Dome anti-rocket system over the city of Ashkelon, and another exploded near a building in Sderot, causing damage but no casualties.

The IDF has deployed more Iron Dome batteries throughout the south following the latest escalation in the south and the violent rioting in Jerusalem.

No organization has taken responsibility for the attack, but it is suspected to be the work of an Islamic State (ISIS) affiliate operating out of Gaza.

Speaking at an event to mark the Jewish New Year Sunday evening, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon warned that Israel will not tolerate the attacks. “We are witness to the rock and firebomb terror in Jerusalem and the fire emanating from Gaza. We have no patience for these incidents, and we have no intention of allowing them to disrupt our lives.”

Speaking at the same event, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot spoke about the upheaval in the region. “In recent days we have received a reminder about the developing dangers in our region. We are obligated to be prepared for any threat and to act decisively to maintain the quiet.”

Mayor of Sderot Alon Davidi, whose city was targeted by rocket fire Friday night, told IDF Radio that Israel was at war against “anti-Semitic” terror organizations. “We are talking about Sderot, the towns near Gaza and Ashkelon – these are international borders [the terrorists are violating] and they are trying to harm our children.”

He said that he would build a playground at the site where the rocket fell Friday night.
