The IDF reported a host of terror activity in the Judea and Samaria region over the past day, immediately following Rosh Hashana and a week ahead of Yom Kippur.

Israeli security forces on Monday morning thwarted an attempted stabbing terror attack at a crossing in southern Jerusalem, Israel Police announced.

According to police, Border Police officers stationed at the Mizmoria Crossing stopped the terrorist after he aroused their suspicions.

The terrorist then drew a knife, at which point the security forces shot and “neutralized” the terrorist.

No Israeli forces were wounded, police added.

In addition, the IDF reported a host of terror activity in the Judea and Samaria region over the past day.

On Monday morning, a terrorist shot from the village Deir Sraf, near Shechem, at a military outpost at the edge of the village.

The outpost was hit but no Israeli forces were harmed. IDF forces launched a manhunt for the terrorists.

Overnight, as IDF forces operating in the village of Mizra Al Kablia in the western Binyamin region arrested a wanted man, terrorists, threw stones at the forces, who responded with riot dispersal measures.

In addition, forces operating in the village of Tekoa southeast of Bethlehem confiscated over 10,000 shekels suspected of being used to fund terror.

Terrorists also shot at the Salem military outpost in Samaria, near Jenin. No Israeli forces were harmed and no damage was caused. IDF and Border Police forces launched a manhunt for the terrorists.

The IDF said that hundreds rioted yesterday near the Gaza border fence, with rioters activating explosives in several instances.

IDF forces responded with non-lethal measures, and some of the rioters were hit.

No Israeli forces were harmed, the IDF added.
