Following the Trump administrations announcement ’s that U.S. policy concludes that Israeli presence in Judea and Samaria does not violate international law, hundreds of rabbis, including Israel’s Chief Rabbis, sent a letter on Sunday morning to the president, thanking him for his pro-Israel decision.

After to the letter, after the US had the privilege of being the first to recognize Israel’s establishment, Trump had the great fortune of recognizing Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Golan Heights for the first time, and can now do the same for the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.

“The presidents of the United States have had the merit of standing at Israel’s side, of partnering in the realization of the prophetic vision of the return to Zion and the rebirth of Israel. A rare privilege has now presented itself to you: To be the first American president to blaze the trail for recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, and now, over the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria,” they wrote.

The rabbis said that, as God had promised to the prophets, Trump’s decisions will be a source of  blessing to him.

“To the Prophet Isaiah, God promised that He will not rest until all the nations of the world recognize the righteousness of Israel, and the righteousness of your decisions will be a source of His blessings for you,” they wrote.

The letter called his decision historic, saying he would be remembered in Jewish history as a “man who stood on the front lines, unafraid.”
