‘We are working on this matter around the clock, all the time, even in these days, and we will continue to act both offensively and defensively against Iranian aggression and its terror satellites.’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Sunday’s cabinet meeting, the first of the summer session, said that Israel would not allow Iran to “wrap a terror noose” around Israel.
“We are working on this matter around the clock, all the time, even in these days, and we will continue to act both offensively and defensively against Iranian aggression and its terror satellites,” Netanyahu said.
Airstrikes over the weekend in Syria that were attributed to Israel reportedly targeted weapons depots and vehicles used to transport armaments to Iranian terror proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Furthermore, the IDF has twice in the past two weeks reportedly shelled Hezbollah assets in the Syrian Golan Heights.
On Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian toured the Israel-Lebanon border along with Hezbollah-aligned lawmakers.
Amir-Abdollahian, who also met with Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, predicted that “positive developments in the region will lead to the collapse of the Zionist entity.”
At Sunday’s cabinet meeting, the prime minister also praised Israeli citizens for their conduct over Memorial and Independence Days last week.
“We saw the nation of Israel unite during these days and ceremonies around the things we hold sacred – the national symbols shared by us all,” he said.
“We have one state, and it is dear and important to all citizens of Israel.”
“We have between us a:fundamental disagreement on the matter of the judicial reform, but we are making an effort to solve that disagreement through dialogue,” Netanyahu added.
“With the goodwill of both sides, I am convinced that agreements can be reached – and I give this full backing.”
