ISIS plans to conquer the world and institute its regime of Islamic terror. Is the world ready to contend with ISIS’ diabolical scheme?
The Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization controls large swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria. It also has a group of followers acting in its name in the Sinai Peninsula, and is developing outposts throughout the Middle East and northern Africa, including Libya.
British media outlet The Telegraph exposed a document written by a high ranking ISIS official in charge of recruitment in Libya, which delineates how ISIS intends to use Libya as a gateway to Europe.
According to the document, ISIS will move many of its terrorists from Iraq and Syria into the area they control in Libya. The terrorists will enter Europe by intermingling with immigrants aboard Continent-bound ships.
The terrorists will then “run amok in southern European cities” and also try to attack maritime shipping.
Libya: ‘Immense Potential’ for ISIS
The document describes Libya as a country with “immense potential” for ISIS. Libya is flooded with weapons as a result of the civil war being waged in the country. The country has no central government and is highly unstable.
The document states, “[Libya] has a long coast and looks upon the southern Crusader states, which can be reached with ease by even a rudimentary boat.”
The document clearly describes ISIS’ plans as follows:
“[T]he number of trips known as ‘illegal immigration’ from this coast, which are huge in number…if this was even partially exploited and developed strategically, pandemonium could be wrought in the southern European states and it is even possible that there could be a closure of shipping lines and targeting of Crusader ships and tankers.”
On Monday, Sir John Sawers, the former head of Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), said that the UK should debate whether or not to put ground troops in Libya to stop the country from “being exploited by fanatics,” The Telegraph reports.
Facing a Flood of Muslim Migrants
Europe has contended for years with a flood of migrants coming from northern Africa into Europe illegally.
Italy has publicized its most severe warning to date in the wake of the latest developments in Libya. Italy fears that Libya will collapse completely, thus sending even more immigrants to its shores.
The Telegraph cites Italy’s Interior Ministry estimates that at least 200,000 refugees and immigrants are poised to make the crossing from Libya to southern Italy. Last year more than 170,000 arrived in Italy by boat, including tens of thousands of Syrians fleeing the civil war in their country. However, Italy has no plans for a military intervention in Libya.
Nasser Kamel, Egypt’s ambassador to London, warned Britain to brace itself for “boats full of terrorists” unless action is taken in Libya. “Those boat people who go for immigration purposes and try to cross the Mediterranean…in the next few weeks, if we do not act together, they will be boats full of terrorists also,” he was quoted as saying by the Telegraph.
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi of Egypt called for an international coalition to defeat ISIS in Libya on Tuesday, proclaiming, “We will not allow them to cut the heads off our children.” Al-Sisi was referring to the 21 Christian Copt Egyptians who were beheaded by ISIS in Libya earlier this week.
After the beheading, an ISIS leader vowed: “We will conquer Rome, by Allah’s permission.”
