In a new video message issued after the Paris terror attacks, ISIS threatened to attack Washington as part of its terror campaign against the West. Is America next?
The Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization, which claimed responsibility for the multiple terror attacks carried out last Friday night in Paris and which have caused the death of at least 132 civilians, issued a new clip on Monday in which it threatened to carry out further attacks against Western targets, and specifically in Washington.
In its first clip issued after the Paris massacres, a terrorist named Al Ghareeb the Algerian warned of further Paris-style attacks on countries taking part in the international coalition flying bombing raids against ISIS in Syria.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day God willing like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” he threatened.
“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” the terrorist declared.
Another terrorist, supposedly from Iraq, said ISIS rejects the international intervention in Syria and “we have decided to negotiate with you in the trenches and not in the hotels.”
Hours after the clip was released, French President Francois Hollande declared war on Islamic terrorism and said France would intensify its campaign against ISIS in Syria.
In a rare address to both houses of parliament at the Palace of Versailles, Hollande called on Europe to join France in their war, saying that ISIS is targeting the Western way of life, and not only France.
The terrorists targeted “the France that likes life, culture, sports, parties,” and targeted “youth in all its diversity” and that the victims were of 19 different nationalities.
Hollande also announced he will meet with US and Russian leaders to discuss pooling their efforts to destroy the ISIS.
He said he wanted the talks “to unify our strength and achieve a result that has been too long in coming” and called for “a union of all who can fight this terrorist army in a single coalition.”
France has so far carried out one bombing mission against ISIS targets in Syria since the Friday terror attacks.
