Israeli forces early Saturday morning demolished the home of a Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and murdered Dafna Meir in January.

The IDF said in a statement that it destroyed the home of Morad Bader Abdullah Adais in Yatta, near Hebron. Adais, 16, murdered Dafna Meir, 38 and a mother of six at the entrance to her home in Otniel in January.

Adais fled the scene of the attack, was caught a few days later and has been convicted in an Israeli court.

During questioning by Israeli authorities, Adais said he was motivated by incitement on official Palestinian media to commit the murder.

The demolition of terrorists’ homes are meant to serve as deterrence for potential terrorists who are plotting future attacks and are part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to contend with the recent wave of Palestinian terror attacks, which has claimed the lives of 37 victims in the past nine months.
