An inspiring event took place yesterday at the Arazim Forest in Jerusalem. Over 1,000 bikers rode to raise money for young patients who suffer from congenital diseases or who have been disabled by accidents or terror attacks. Eight blind people participated, riding on tandem bike with sighted partners.
This was a warm up event for the annual Alyn Wheels of Love fundraising event to be held for a few days starting in Arad on November 11. That event includes 700 riders from Israel and nine other countries around the world.
Yesterday’s ride was attended by Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, Jerusalem Development Authority head Moshe Leon, Jewish National Fund-KKL chairman Effi Stenzler, Jerusalem Development Authority director Moti Hazan, Nature and Parks Authority director Shaul Goldstein and other dignitaries.
