After a soft launch for the press on Sunday, service will officially start at a Brooklyn ShopRite on Thursday by offering free samples before embarking on its culinary tour.
The unmistakable aroma of matzo ball soup will soon waft through ShopRite parking lots across New York and New Jersey as Manischewitz launches its first-ever kosher food truck.
Serving as a mobile Jewish deli, the menu will feature heimishe staples such as all-beef hot dogs, knishes, matzo ball soup, babka, rugelach, hors d’oeuvres, and macaroons.
For collectors, limited-edition BYU QB Jake Retzlaff Special Edition Matzo Boxes will also be available.
All items on the menu are Glatt Kosher and supervised by the OU.
“The debut of the first-ever Manischewitz Deli on Wheels is an exciting and bold endeavor,” says Shani Seidman, CMO of Kayco Kosher, the parent company of Manischewitz.
“This food truck is a key part of our rebranding efforts, inviting culturally curious consumers to experience and enjoy the richness of Jewish cuisine.”

After a few more stops in Brooklyn, kosher enthusiasts can still grab a quick nosh as the truck makes its way through Cherry Hill, NJ, Long Island’s Plainview, and Paramus.
Operations will temporarily pause during Passover, then resume as a full-service restaurant on wheels after April 20.
“This food truck strengthens our connection with loyal customers while expanding our cultural relevance to a younger Jewish audience and mainstream consumers eager to explore new flavors,” says Seidman.
“With our refreshed brand, bold new look and expanded product lineup, we’re officially hitting the road!”
