Iran is “like a cancer that destroys every country it gets involved in,” Minister Cohen tells Saudi media.

Conflict with the Palestinians will not impede Saudi-Israel normalization, according to Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.

In an interview with the online Saudi Elaf newspaper, excerpts of which were seen by Ynet, Cohen predicted Israel and Riyadh will be making history.

“A visit to Israel, by a Saudi foreign minister would be a day of celebration,” he said, noting the growing list of Arab countries that have already normalized relations with Israel.

“The current Israeli government will take steps to improve the Palestinian economy,” Cohen said, amid recent reports that the Saudis might demand Israel make “concessions” to the Palestinians as part of a normalization deal with Israel.

Cohen also discussed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, whom he said was weak and hiding in his bunker “like a mouse.”

Israel could “dispatch Lebanon back to the stone age” if it wanted to, he said.

Iran, as the main financier of terrorism around the world, “is like a cancer that destroys every country it gets involved in,” Cohen added.
